741 had its first official open for inspection day on Saturday 9 April that saw more than 50 groups of family and friends view the property. Many families attended the day with loved ones who are looking to down size from the family home to a smaller ‘family home’. The feedback that resonated with most visitors was that the complex did feel like home and that the apartments were so well appointed, over and above what was expected.
The village of 741 is nestled in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges and positioned opposite MiCare’s residential property, Overbeek Lodge which for some presented as an additional comfort factor given that Overbeek Lodge is a residential care facility providing low to high residential care and, is the centre for MiCare’s Home Care services.
In true MiCare style, everyone who visited the open for inspection was treated to some traditional Dutch hospitality in the Community Center with sandwiches, cakes and coffee served throughout the day, including the special infamous MiCare Appeltaart, a must have if ever offered!
