Getting Grounded

Passers-by will have noticed that it has all been happening at 741 since the last newsletter and things are certainly taking shape. With all the rock removed and initial plumbing works planned out, we are glad to report that the slap is now being poured. Of course, the weather has not always been kind to us but that is not unusual in Melbourne winter so the builders were often able to plan around it.

Our own crew has also been busy transforming one of the units in Margriet Village into a sales office. This unit will include a number of display areas, including the bathroom and kitchen as designed for 741. Furthermore, the colour scheme in this unit will be identical to that offered to potential buyers… speaking of which, we are in the process of creating another range of colour choices, including an option to upgrade to either woollen carpet of wooden floor boards. All this to provide more choice to our buyers and to ensure each apartment will have its own identity.

Since the breaking of the last rock, I have been busy meeting with people who have expressed an interest in the apartments some time ago. It was exciting to finally talk into detail about our plans and to notice that there is such a large interest! What’s even better: many locals have contacted us recently and have taken the time to meet with me to find out if this project will suit their needs. Strong interest comes from the fact that there is no project like this in the local area: close proximity to a care home, a wide range of services available only when needed and of course a wonderful community centre.

We have now certainly reached that phase where people are meeting again to discuss specific apartments and view the contract – I look forward to having these meetings in the new sales office where we can move along to our first sales…..
